This in combination with a weak northerly wind component at the lower levels is expected to bring a significant warming trend across interior sections of Southwest California today. Widespread triple digit heat is expected across the lower mountains, Antelope Valley, and interior valleys. By Tuesday, an increase in monsoonal moisture will potentially lower temperatures a few degrees across Los Angeles and Ventura counties, however there will be increased humidity which will lead to significant discomfort. …HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM PDT TUESDAY… * TEMPERATURES…High temperatures will range between 100 and 105 degrees today. Temperatures inside vehicles, even if the windows are partially open, can quickly rise to life-threatening levels. Never, ever, leave people or pets in enclosed vehicles, even for a short period of time. Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside. When possible, reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
