Widespread rain amounts of 1 to 1.5 inches are looking likely, with localized amounts of up to 3 inches possible. Because soils across the area are wet and rivers are already running high from recent rains, the risk of excessive runoff and additional rises on area rivers is higher than normal. Where the locally heavy rain may fall and where any river flooding or flash flooding threats would occur remains uncertain. If you live near a river or stream, monitor the rainfall forecast and water levels closely. If rivers and streams near you start rising out of their banks be ready to move to higher ground.
