About Dr. Kerry Friesen:
Originally from Ontario Canada,Dr. Kerry Friesen has more than 20 years experience in the areas of health promotion and disease prevention. He has been in private practice as an internal medicine physician for more than 25 years and is an avid blogger, writer and patient advocate.
Dr. Friesen graduated from Queen’s University Faculty of Medicine and completed postdoctoral training jointly at Wright State University School of Medicine and Kettering Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio. While at Kettering Medical Center he was awarded the Albert A. Brust award for “Excellence in Internal Medicine.” He graduated summa cum laude in 1987.
In addition, Dr. Friesen is a Member of the Neuroscience Education Institute, the Psychoneuroimmunology Research Society and holds a Master Certificate in Psychopharmacology. His independent medical research interests include nutritional neuroscience, Personalized Medicine and Working Memory Training.
As a Qualified Cogmed Practitioner and a member of the Neuroleadership Institute, he offers executive, wellness and corporate coaching from a neuroscience perspective.
Dr. Friesen developed “Lipids4Life”, a lifestyle-based, non-pharmacologic approach to cholesterol management and heart disease prevention. Currently, Dr. Friesen is the medical director and Lead Consultant at the Friesen Center in Chattanooga TN. He lectures frequently on the subjects of brain health, heart disease prevention and weight-management.
