RIDGELAND, Miss., Nov. 27, 2017 /PRNewswire/ — In the true spirit of giving, C Spire is bringing back a popular holiday contest this year that promises to give consumers a chance to make their biggest Christmas wishes come true.

The second annual “Christmas Wish” contest starts today at 9 a.m. CT and runs through Saturday, Dec. 2 at 7 p.m. CT.  Individuals can register online at www.cspire.com/wish, fill out the form and follow instructions to submit an entry for themselves, another family member or friend.

Consumers are getting a chance to make their biggest Christmas wishes come true as part of C Spire’s 2017 Christmas Wish contest. Online entries are being accepted starting today at cspire.com/wish. The deadline for submission is Saturday, Dec. 2 at 7 p.m. CT.

No purchase is necessary, but individuals must be 18 years old (19 in Alabama) and live in Tennessee, Mississippi, and Alabama to participate in the contest. Entries, which are limited to one per person, will be judged on originality and creativity, focus on the creative assignment and overall appeal.

A panel of qualified judges from C Spire and its advertising agency will select the winners.  Winning entries will be announced on Dec. 20, 2017.  Last year, C Spire helped a Biloxi woman pay for cancer treatment, sent a Madison family on a dream vacation and helped a hard-working Southaven woman pay for Christmas presents for her family.

“It’s the season of giving at C Spire and we want everyone to know that no dream is too small and no wish is too big,” said Jim Richmond, vice president of Marketing.  “Whether it’s a new phone or a new car, a fresh start or an experience you couldn’t have on your own, anything is possible with Christmas Wish.”

Spending time with family and friends and enjoying activities involving shared common values are high priorities for individuals during the holidays.  A recent nationwide survey of nearly 8,000 consumers found that 80 percent plan to spend time with family and friends, 63 percent plan to give or open gifts, 50 percent plan to make a special meal or festive treats, 45 percent plan to decorate their homes and 31 percent plan to attend a church service.
