Spread.NET 11 (formerly Spread Studio) can handle the most complex spreadsheets 80% faster and using just a fraction of the memory from prior versions. With more than 130 new calculation functions, the total number in Spread.NET 11 and SpreadJS 11 is now 462—more than any competitive product. The Spread.NET release has new support for array formulas, workbook protection support, cell validators and enhanced data validation, along with a new API with document properties to make your spreadsheet development safer, quicker, and even more intuitive. A new license for Spread.NET 11 now includes one full year of maintenance, which includes phone support and the next major software release. For more details, read the Spread.NET release blog: https://www.grapecity.com/en/blogs/spreadnet11-releases.
On the feature side, in addition to the 130 additional functions, Spread.Sheets now includes charting support and can import and export native Excel files with charts. With Spread.Sheets, customers can make changes to those charts, and developers are given the tools to add and edit charts with the Spread Sheets Designer. New charts include column, bar, line, pie, doughnut, area, scatter, bubble, stock, and combination.
Customer-reported issues have also been addressed and several enhancements have been made, making SpreadJS the premier spreadsheet component on the market.
Enhancements include: the HitTest functionality is now supported at the workbook level; columns can be easily indented for tree structures; events have been added when sheets are moved; text cell types can now be vertically aligned in edit mode; and support for exporting to PDF files has been added. GrapeCity is also excited to announce a Spread.Services pack release due over the next few weeks. Spread.Services is available as an upgrade to SpreadJS, and the JSON support will allow SpreadJS customers to consume JSON data with the fastest API available. Stay tuned for additional updates.
