FARIBAULT, Minn., Feb. 6, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — Today, KGPCo announced an investment into ATS.  As a result, KGPCo and ATS, formerly part of TTU, have joined together in a strategic partnership to deliver end-to-end Cloud solutions to the ICT industry. ATS, now a KGPCo company, brings KGPCo expertise in Open Source Software in Virtual Infrastructure Management, Software-Defined-Networking (SDN), Network Function Virtualization (NFV), Cyber Security and Data Analytics.  This partnership reflects KGPCo’s commitment to be the partner of choice for building, optimizing and transforming networks for its customers.

The investment complements the recent launch of KGPCo’s Solution Innovation Center (SIC) and further enhances the SIC’s position by seamlessly integrating ATS next-generation technology solutions into KGPCo’s offerings.  The move enables KGPCo’s participation in software development for Open Source projects.  As an example, KGPCo’s Innovation Center will be hosting Open Contrail’s CI/CD infrastructure moving forward as part of the partnership.

It also provides KGPCo a unique opportunity to help drive the aggregation of software and hardware as customers transition to a white box environment, by leveraging the newly added ATS capabilities in DevOps, Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) and Virtualized Network Function (VNF) validation.  The partnership also supports KGPCo’s investment and total capability in white-box integration services, reducing the time from order to production-ready hardware.

“We are excited about this strategic investment, adding the ATS team to the KGPCo family, and how this move clearly demonstrates KGPCo’s absolute commitment to transform in this time of unprecedented change,” said Trevor Putrah, President of KGPCo.  “Adding ATS competencies in software development, networking, and automation is a natural extension to our integration, field services, and end-to-end supply chain solutions and aligns seamlessly with our Solution Innovation Center’s collaborative environment.”

“KGPCo shares our focus and approach to empowering clients on their digital transformation journey in this next era of Cloud and NFVi innovation. Our forward-thinking alliance is an example of aligning talent and key partnerships, which is crucial in delivering integrated, yet flexible solutions to our customers,” said Al Agarwal, CEO, ATS

ATS holds the distinction of being one amongst a select group of companies worldwide to have contributed code to major Open Source SDN projects being used by Tier 1 Service Providers. KGPCo’s Cloud Division and ATS will jointly develop and demonstrate key next-generation technologies around Communication-Cloud, including OpenStack, Kubernetes, major SDN platforms and NFV in KGPCo’s Irving, Texas based Solution Innovation
