LAFAYETTE, La., Nov. 30, 2017 /PRNewswire/ — As dental health advocates work to remove barriers to dental care among underserved areas in Louisiana, two new Aspen Dental-branded practices are scheduled to open in December – making access to dental care even easier for residents in the Bayou State.

Appointments are now available at the two practices which are scheduled to open on Dec. 7 in New Iberia and Dec. 21 in Lafayette. The offices will be open Monday through Wednesday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; Thursday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and Friday, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. as well as select Saturdays. Walk-in and emergency patients are welcome. Services at the offices will include general dentistry, dentures and denture repairs, preventive care, and restoration services.

The New Iberia office is led by Dr. Collin Miller, who received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Louisiana State University (LSU). Dr. Stephanie Vu, who also received her DDS from LSU, will lead the Lafayette practice.

The offices will bring much-needed access to affordable, quality dental care to these communities, which are in counties designated as dental health professional shortage areas by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

In addition to improved care access, the offices will provide economic benefits. According to a study by Syracuse University’s Whitman School of Management, each new Aspen Dental practice supports local community growth by contributing nearly $1.3 million in positive economic impact through job creation and capital investment.

The new Aspen Dental offices offer patient-friendly programs and services to make it easier for patients to get the dental care they need, including:

Personalized treatment and friendly service. Each patient will receive a comprehensive diagnosis and treatment plan designed by their dentist with long-term oral and overall health in mind. Available services include hygiene, treatment of gum disease, extractions, fillings, oral surgery, whitening, and crown and bridge work. Affordable dental care. Aspen Dental practices are committed to keeping prices fair so that patients can get the care they need. The two practices will work with insurance providers and handle the paperwork to save patients time and hassle, and offer free new-patient exams and X-rays to those who do not have insurance. The practices also offer clear, detailed estimates on the cost of treatment to give patients peace of mind as well as a variety of financing options. On-site denture
